After you have read this site, you'll barely even sleep tonight, you will see their faces in your dreams, you'll even start to hear their screams.  Their failing kidneys, their broken hearts, their declining health and missing parts.   The beatings, burns and scars that pain, their nights of sleeping in the rain.   Their battered souls and woundful eyes, their fear of life and desperate cries.  Can you truly sleep tonight now that you have read this site. Now wipe the tears that you have shed, it wont save lives while your in bed.

                                  ~ Who We are~

Thank you for visiting our rescue site. We are grateful for all that enjoy reading our stories and following our work here. This site was designed to show you the efforts made to rehabilitate and rehome the dogs that the world has left behind.  There are many link pages that will explain more about this rescue, the volunteers, the dogs and how to be a good pet owner.

  ~How Little Forgotten               Friends Began~

I started in rescue 20 years ago.  I, more or less, stumbled upon it.  I believe I discovered I was a caretaker when my 2-year-old Pekingese suddenly became paralyzed, caused by a slipped disc.  I was forced to learn how to express a dog's bladder because my failure to do so would have cost my dog his life....this is how it all began!!!  Throughout the years I have always leaned towards animals who were old or disabled.  My heart went out for the little ones that nobody wanted.....to me they were treasures.

There is nothing in this world that can fill my heart in quite the same way as an animal that I can help.  The overall feeling of rescue is more rewarding than anything I ever imagined, whether it be the ability to know that a dog is alive because I helped it or whether it be watching a person's face when they first set eyes on a dog they are about to adopt.

I have met so many wonderful people through rescue.  I am grateful to every person that has adopted a dog from me.  I consider my adopters friends and have a special bond with each and everyone of them.  Adopters are ones who bring these dogs to their final destiny....it's a place called "HOME".
