Here are some pictures that will show you what a little time and love can do for a dog. They all just need the chance to show you how beautiful they really are. Of course what your seeing is the cosmetics of rescue, what you dont see is the pain they have suffered with liver disease, kidney failure, cancer , abuse and other endless tragedies that need to be treated......but, most of all you cant see how broken their spirits are when they arrive here and the sadness in their eyes of not knowing what will happen to them next. I am posting these pictures because I want you to enter my world of rescue both good and bad, I want you to see and feel what I do through out every day of my life. Most of you only see the dogs when they are all "fixed up" and full of life....maybe you need to see the sorrow in rescue so that you can open your heart to a dog who needs a home filled with your love
This is the top of Flakeys head, due to being over medicated his skin was literally burning leaving open lesions, he also had demodex mange.

his entire body was nothing but scabs and cuts
8 months later, Flakey gets new skin, new coat and a new home.
Clydes beauty of an owner took their "15" year old dog to the shelter to be euthanised. They claimed he was old and had a tumor on his head so they wanted him put to sleep. After much convincing they decided to let him go to rescue. After being seen by our vet, it was determined that Clyde was 5 not 15 and that he had no tumors, he was beaten. No wonder his owners wanted him put down, they wanted to "bury" the evidence of animal abuse.
Clyde is beginning to heal
Clyde is going home
