       Little Forgotten Friends Farm Animals

Yes!  We have most certainly expanded our rescue efforts :o)....we have now taken under our wing(no pun intended...lol) 14 chickens, 2 ducks, 1 pot belly pig, 1 pregnant pygmy goat that gave us 2 babies, 1 dwarf horse and 1 mini horse....My dream for many years was to have a "small farm" just one or 2 of "everything" to make my little world complete.  I can finally say I have reached my dream and now I am living it out, always remember dreams can come true but you must have the persistance to make them happen!.....enjoy their pics below !!!!!

 Deniro~

Deniro's first day home at LFF, just a tiny little piglet who was 11 weeks old.

When I was driving home with Deniro in my car, It was the first time I ever questioned a rescue decision.  I thought to myself...Good Lord Maria, you really have lost it for sure this time as I listened to his high pitched squeel for a 45 minute car drive home......Then when I brought him into my house and began to see how the puppies automatically felt some sort of comfort with him, I realized why God brought him to me..........Deniro is my puppy therapy pig!!!!  Anybody who has adopted from LFF from May 2009 till the present, I can promise you that YOUR puppy cuddled, slept and played with Deniro.

Deniro and Smash...........could it get ANY sweeter!!!!

YUP!! he SURE is smiling, could he be ANY happier...lol.............I ABSOLUTELY love my LITTLE PIGGY!!!  I wish my dogs housetrained as fast as he did!!

Amber and her babies Sophia and Bogart

Amber came from a small farm that was down sizing, I offered to take her and another goat(because most animals do better in "pairs")....the farm owner told me she "might" be pregnant at which point I figured I better wait and see if she would give birth before I had a herd of goats.  Soon after 2 of the most adorable babies arrived.

 Lil' Bit and Sinatra

Lil'Bit (on left) and Sinatra arrived here just a few days ago, I have never seen such tiny horses until now.  Lil' Bit is a dwarf horse who was unfit for sale and Sinatra was viscously attacked by an adult horse making him also unfit for sale...basically, that means they were "perfectly fit" for LFF where perfection ISNT important!!!!

Lil' Bit  stands about 20 inches tall, he's a chubby little guy being a dwarf but boy is he CUTE!!!  He is still very shy but once I can catch him, he loves to snuggle his head into me.....he totally MELTS me!!!

Sinatra got his name from his BEAUTIFUL blue eyes!!!!  He is still shy since he just met us but, we will be working with him as much as possible to win him over.....is this little guy gorgeous or WHAT!!!

 LFF Chickens and Ducks :o)

There was NO WAY we could have all these new farm babies and not have chickens and ducks....but, I must confess we did purchase the chicks at tractor supply for $2.69 :o)....truth be told, I got the chickens because I use raw eggs in our feeding program....so, what could be easier when you need an egg to add to the dog food then running outside and getting a few!!! ....and anybody who said I was a nut when I got the chickens IS NOT getting any free eggs when they come here.......lol.......
