Little Forgotten Friends

 This page is for ANY of you who need your dogs prayers to be answered.  If your dog is not in good health, if he is sick or dying then perhaps you need a few prayers sent your way.....Let us help you!!!!  Maybe together God will listen if we shout out in numbers, maybe we can make you feel better by supporting your weakened heart and letting you know we are here for you as you watch your dog ill or old...........watching our beloved pets grow old is a very painful moment in our lives so why go through it alone, lets be here for each other......

 ~How can you get on our prayer page.......e-mail puffer13@frontiernet.net  send a short e-mail with whats wrong with your dog and send along with your dogs photo.  We will put your doggie on this page and hope that your prayers will be answered.

Tonka is a yorkie who weighs 1 lb. 4 oz. @ 4 months old.......we have been working on him for just about 2 months already and we just cant seem to get him up and going....He has been to the vet a million times and yet still we have no answers.....Tonka needs you to pray for him to gain his appetite and gain weight so he can play like a puppy should!....please remember him at night, your prayers seem to be helping Stinkbutt and Tonka needs you also

UPDATE: 9/22....Tonka is EATING!!!!.... this week his hair began to fall out, this in my experience is one of 2 things...either everything is beginning to fail....OR....it's a "healing crisis" meaning the body begins to shed it's fur almost as though its detoxing itself.  So, I guess it was a healing crisis because he is not only eating but he was actually enthusiastic about it.  He also wagged his tail for the first time since he arrived....Tonka says thank you to all that are praying for him!

This is where Stink Butt sits each night as I write all of you on my computer.  This is HER permanent spot, never can be without me.  Stink Butt has been hospitalized because her kidneys are failing and she needs to be on IV fluids.  Today is the first day I have been without her since the day she arrived here. I am still up at 10 am from the night before...perhaps putting off going to bed without her.  Stinkie needs your prayers, I have exhausted all avenues both conventional and holistic and no one can seem to reverse the damage of 1 rabies shot and the ivermectin that she was on when she arrived with demodex mange.  These chemicals were so strong it's almost as if they set off a bomb in her tiny 7 lb. body and blew away her kidneys....Prayers are all she has left....lets pray that the fluids can bounce her back into recovery!..my poor Stinkie, I can not imagine a day without her....she will come home on Saturday and it feels like forever!

update 8/22 ~ 

Stink butt is home from the vet, we just got back her blood tests, they are better but by far NOT GOOD!...I have called the holistic vet  and new herbal supplements are on their way, she will need subq fluids on a daily basis for life and whatever Stinkie needs, Stinkie WILL GET!!!......she still needs prayers so please dont forget her before you go to bed!!!!!!!!

update 8/28 ~ Stink butt has been admitted into the hospital again for IV fluids....the holistic vet just air expressed many herbal supplements to be put in her IV bag.  Today she did not eat well when I visited her.  I am very scared for Stinkie and can only hope that the new herbals will kick in and she will recover....PRAY HARDER!!!!!

UPDATE 8/30~  STINK BUTT IS HOME!!!!! We still need to get the results of her blood work to see if there has been any improvement but I can tell you that she appears MUCH brighter, is DEFINATELY eating better and she is SOOOOOOO happy to be back home!!!  THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everybody who was praying for her.  I will have her test results on Tuesday and let you know where how her results came back!!!

UPDATE 9/1  ~ NOT GOOD!....Stinkie's test results have gotten worse, I have rescheduled another appointment with my holistic vet to see what else can be done and why she is not improving.  Despite the reults, her spirits are fairly good, my heart is breaking, I can not lose her......PRAY MORE......PLEASE!!!!!

UPDATE 9/2~  Had a phone consultation with my holistic vet who is absolutely baffled as to how Stinkie was on IV fluids 4 days WITH herbal supplements given thru IV and not only did her results not get better...THEY GOT WORSE.....BUN level went from 71 to 126....horrible!!  He is sending more supplements and we are scheduling an ultra sound to get a picture of the kidneys(perhaps a mass that is throwing us off ?)....she is on borrowed time with her levels so high, I can see I will be playing the only to familiar to all of us game called "beat the clock"...for most of you who know me, I DONT LIKE TO LOSE TO ILLNESS!!!  whether I have battled for my own dogs lives or your dogs lives, to me it is the same, i WILL NOT lay down and die for this disease, I cant say this illness will not take my Stinkie but I'm gonna kick some ass while it tries, I am REALLY PISSED that this is happening to a dog that is 4 years old,  UNACCEPTABLE TO ME!!!.............This is why I COUNT ON ALL OF YOU to pray for these dogs, I am truly not a "great prayer", but I am one hell of a fighter when you tick me off...you pray....Me and Stinkie will fight...sound good?  Thanks, I love you all for your support, I am so lucky to have you all!

Update 9/9....Stinkie had her blood taken again ...will get results tomorrow...I am not predicting they will be good so please keep her in your prayers, She needs a miracle and I think I need therapy!...my heart is ripping!

Update 9/15 .............Stinkie is doing FANTASTIC!!!!  we will be taking her blood again tomorrow and will update you as to whether her blood values are looking as good as she is....KEEP PRAYING, it WORKING!!!!

Update 9/22..............Blood values are GOING UP!!!! my vet was floored!!!  Stinkies BUN level went from 126 to 59 in a week.....that is MIRACUOUS!!!!!!  She is eating, playing, begging for food, barking......I hope for anybody reading this that you learn one thing....NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!...when you combine holistic meds and the power of prayer, the odds are always awesome!!!

Scruffy arrived here from the city shelter, I had to call the 24 hour hotline to have him taken off the euthanasia list.  The owners friend brought Scruffy to the shelter because the owner was going to put him out on the street..Scruffy is FIFTEEN years old! I can tell you he has been here for 3 weeks and we were losing him depsite all we were doing, IMAGINE how he would have suffered on the STREETS!!!!  Our hope was to get him stronger before doing extensive dental surgery.  However, that option was not happening because Scruffy  was going down hill fast.  His blood values were through the roof with infection from his rotted teeth...........so....we had to do a crap shoot and risk the surgery or he would die for sure.  Scruffy has had his surgery, many teeth were removed but the biggest problem was that the upper bone in his mouth was completely deteriorated, it has been surgically corrected the best it could but, it could not be 100% restored.  We have been syringe feeding him his food and meds and now all he has left is YOUR PRAYERS!!! Pray that God spares this little old man and allows him to spend some time being loved some more before he gets his wings!

Update 9/22..............I wrote a few nights ago on the blog in regards to Scruffy but didnt get a chance to update the prayer page.....we have lost our little Scruffy....sadly , he was just too old to go on, I believe he was sent here to die with dignity rather then be "rescued"....please pray that he is living a pain free life that man never allowed him while he walked this earth!!!!

T-Bone also had surgery for what is called a hematoma in his ear (A  hematoma is any abnormal blood filled space), he also had 9 severely rotted teeth removed, was neutered and had a hernia repair as well.....and how was your day today?......quite alot of surgery for this little boy today!!!  T-Bone just arrived here, he was a breeder in a puppy mill who was extremely grateful to find out what a pillow felt like.  T-Bone is about 5-7 years old and is a very sweet little pekingese boy!!!  PRAYERS needed for a speedy recovery!

His ear will need to remain bandaged for the next 2 weeks to heal, this was a hugh piece of surgery for our little man!  he sure was happy to come home!

Update 9/22...........t-Bone had his badages removed, or should I say the little brat removed them him self.....he is healing quite nicely and is once again a happy little boy!!!....thank you for all his prayers!!!

Sometimes prayers are needed to mend the hearts that were left here bleeding when a loved pup crosses to the other side.  A very special adopter has asked us to send prayers for her Dads dog that has been given her wings.
