Rebel Pooch page is dedicated to all our permanent pups here who "blew" their adoptions :o(  There are many dogs that either come here aggressive and stay aggressive OR they wind up bonding to only us, making it impossible to adopt them.  These dogs can never be trusted behaviorally due to their  unpredictability.  Needless to say ALL dogs here get the same opportunity to finish out their lives, whether they are old and sick or young with "ATTITUDE" .  Of course most of our "biters are under the age of 5 so we get to enjoy the little darlings for many years to come...lol...but, it keeps us on our toes and we have gotten so good at "getting out of their way" quickly, we can now catch flies with our bare hands in seconds :O)....dont let their cute little faces fool ya, these little rebels have taken chunks(yes, I said chunks) out of various body parts.  However, rescue means taking the good AND the bad and loving all of them.  I can not sentence a dog to die because his previous owner beat him making him aggressive towards humans.  We welcome you to meet our "contendors".....the ones that PEOPLE abused resulting in their inability to be adopted.....others are dogs that bonded so quickly to us here that they DID NOT allow themselves to be adopted, they decided that Little Forgotten Friends is HOME SWEET HOME!!!!  This is only a few of our lifers!

                                           Beanie

Beanie is a permanent member of this rescue after leaving a softball sized black and blue on his owners leg when she tried to take a sock away from him.  He has now learned better manners but there is NO WAY I would ever trust him and place him in a home.

                                                 Baby

BEAUTIFUL isnt he!!!!  Baby is the FIERCIEST of any dog in our rescue.  He is the reason we dont move our feet to quickly when he's laying near us, he's the reason I have learned to go up a flight of stairs in 2 seconds flat, he is the reason that staff sometimes says, uhhhh, Maria....can you get Baby, or  Maria, Baby is giving a dirty look and he is the BIGGEST reason why anybody who visits can't use the bathroom...lol....the area we gate him stems off of the hall bathroom so going potty here is not an option :o).....despite the fact that I "took one on the chin" from Baby...lol....I ABSOLUTELY ADORE HIM!!!  he is better then any home security device I own!

                                             Paco

Here it is..............7 lbs. of THUNDER!!!!!  he arrived from the NYC shelter with CAUTION stickers PLASTERED ON EVERY DIRECTION OF HIS CAGE.....well, the shelter most certainly  evaluated him to perfection.  I can still remember when the dog trainer came here with her clicker....He almost ate her, the clicker and the treat at the same time...call me sadistic but, I was rolling!!!  Paco is GREAT with us but Lord help a stranger he meets.  This is one TUFF little chi!

                                         Minnie

Minnie arrived here as sweet as could be...for one reason or another, she wasnt gettting many inquiries.  After about 4 months finally......SOMEBODY APPLIED FOR HER, we never knew her to be anything less then sweet until her new family came to meet her....Suddenely, she turned into Lucifer....chi's tend to bond tightly with their owners and that is exactly what happened in Minnies case, she REFUSED to be adopted.

                                   Little Bear

Little Bear LIVES for his toys!!!! he is VERY , VERY happy here!  his previous owner surrendered him to us because they had to crate him every time they had company due to aggression.  They were most certainly correct that Little Bear is not very social but, he is GREAT with us and he is definately a staff "fav"!

                                             Booger

Booger was rescued from a puppy mill, I can clearly remember his arrival at 3 am.  I thought he was a 20 lb. dog till I shaved him down.  After several hours of trying to get the clippers through the mats, I found this little booger under all that hair!....I had several people come here to adopt him and every time, he hid behind me and snarled and blew his adoption......thats how this little snot got his name....lol

                           Finster

AKA  "FINSTER BABY"   .............Finster holds the heavy weight championship at LFFR...when a new dog with "attitude" comes in....we hand him over to Finster to teach him some religion!!!  oh yeah, Finster has yet to be taken by ANY dog in the rescue, he will pin em' every time!!  This by far is no ordinary little pekingese....he's a pit in a pek suit!.........gotta love him!!!
